Phlebotomy Services

Department: Phlebotomy Supervisors
Location: Erie, PA

Full-time; Exempt; M-F (nights and weekends as needed)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Management of day to day aspects of employee relations, hiring, coaching, training, disciplinary action

  • Responsible for policy and procedure for Patient Services

  • Works with patients and clients to resolve any concerns related to phlebotomy

  • Responsible for phlebotomy services to LTC accounts

  • Responsible for facility issues of assigned Patient Service Centers

  • Oversees any renovations and construction of new or existing physical locations

  • Responsible for Quanum initiatives targeted for Patient Services and works

    with IT to ensure that Quanum updates are appropriately rolled out to the phlebotomy staff

  • Responsible for ensuring that all Quest Diagnostics initiatives are implemented when applicable including standard operating procedures, patient relations, Quanum upgrades

  • Works with the other Patient Services Supervisors to ensure that

    phlebotomy practices are standard across all Patient Service Centers and employees

  • Works with the ACL/CPI Phlebotomy Trainer to ensure that phlebotomy training is consistent for ACL/CPI where applicable. This position is responsible for ensuring that the Phlebotomy Trainer is aware of any Quest Diagnostics Best Practice Initiatives for Patient Services (Phlebotomy)

  • Participates with the Pittsburgh BU Phlebotomy Team for collaboration and standardization

  • Plays an integral role in the ACL Supervisory/Management team and works with all departments of the laboratory to ensure quality patient care.

  • Participates on the QA Team for ACL.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Products

  • Must possess strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities

  • Previous Supervisory or Lead Experience.


  • Associate or BS Degree in Healthcare or Science Field

  • Phlebotomy Experience
